I am happy to note that you will be publishing your Silver Jubilee souvenir, a collector's edition for Tamils in NJ in which you will be capturing the 25 years of Tamil Sangam history. I am impressed by the fact that NJTS, formed in 1989 at Rutger ’ s University, NJ inaugurated by a great Tamil scholar Thiru Muruga Krupananda Vaariyar, celebrates 5 major events annually attended by nearly 1,000 people. I am happy to note that through NJTS as a platform, you have raised funds for many charities. It is quite impressive that NJTS has donated $16,000 to charities worldwide, including funds to help “ sandy ” victims in 2013. Again, I would like to congratulate the New Jersey Tamil Sangam on the momentous occasion and wish you best wishes for the future. Sincerely, Upendra J. Chivukula Assemblyman, 17 th District
