Montgomery Township Committee & Mayor recognizes Tamil as one of the Classical Language along with Thai Pongal as an important secular festival. A resolution was passed regarding contribution the Tamil Community makes to the cultural diversity of the township. New Jersey Tamil Sangam was honored to receive the resolution from the Mayor at the Township Committee Meeting & the resolution was read in our Thai Pongal Celebration on Jan 26, 2019.
